I used to live in this house that had these big trees.  One of the trees had a blue jays nest in it. The nest was to small for the baby bird that were in there. There were 4 in it. The birds kept falling out.  I had 3 dogs. A black lab mix, a cocker spaniel, and a Siberian husky.  Our lab, butch, was a very hyper dog, which mad them all get hyper.  Well it killed one of the birds, and kept catching the other that kept falling out, but never killed it.
One day me and my family were in the house when my mom saw a bird jumping around and the dog casing it.  So we all went out in the back yard and got it.  My dad got a ladder to put it back in the nest. At that time he didn't know how small the nest was.  Well he got up in the tree and momma and daddy came home. They weren't very happy with my dad getting there nest.  My dogs saw them and were barking away. They kept jumping up and down and in the tree.  The birds started to attach the dogs. My husky backed off and went to sit by the house.  But my lab was chasing mom and dad.  The birds did not look happy. I was laughing when one of the birds came down and hit my lab right in the rear.  My dog yelped so loud. It was the funniest thing.  He ran off to the other end of the yard and sat down, and would not get any closer. My cocker spaniel seemed to have not noticed because one of the birds hit him too. But not in the rear.
My dad could not get the bird in the nest because it kept falling out. So he took it to the neighbors and they kept it. I guess it was good that way. I don't think my dog liked what the parent bird did to it.
