We didn't build this site to promote the
idea of primates as pets but to provide accurate information on how primates should be
kept in captivity. Before you ever consider buying a primate you should realize that
primates are very social animals and need a lot of care and attention. A primate can
be a lot of fun but on the other hand you will have your hands full with cleaning up their
mess and keep them busy. Some people don't realize that if they buy a primate that
they can't go on vacation any more or that they will have to spend most of their free time
with them. Like we said in our note on top, primates are truly a lifetime
commitment. Some of them live over 40 years so you better think twice before buying
